- Recently, someone claiming to be from "Station 8" or the "Gaithersburg Fire
Dept" has been calling businesses in Gaithersburg asking for donations. The
Gaithersburg - Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department NEVER solicits by
phone. Also, we no longer solicit door to door. We ONLY ask for your donations
via mail, (watch for our Community Newsletter in December), or on
this web page. Do not fall victim to phone solicitors. (11/17/01)
